Dear readers,
Greetings from this new issue of Productivity magazine. As always, this magazine sums up the most important issues moving our company. It takes us to new places, informs us about projects that our colleagues from the sales or service departments spend most of their working hours on and passes on the views and impressions of some of our customers. As always, it demonstrates interesting solutions, unconventional assembly methods as well as challenges that await us in the upcoming months and years. Productivity, is quite simply an instant package of information thanks to which all of us will have a complete understanding about how our company is doing. LEAVING BRAZIL FOR EUROPE FOR LOVE – OF COMPRESSORS

Brazilian Ricardo Cano, from sunny São Paulo, has lived in Europe for 10 years. “I wanted to work at Atlas Copco compressor technique headquarters,” is how he explains his motives in moving to the old country. Both Europe and the company surpassed his greatest expectations. “Europe is beautiful – the mix of different cultures in a small area fascinates me.” And Atlas Copco? Nothing is impossible at this company, new opportunities are constantly opening up, and all its employees support you professionally and personally,” says the São Paulo native, who now calls Prague home. THE RELIABILITY OF QST SPINDLES ASSURES INTERNATIONAL CAR MAKER

The new Euro 6 emission standards triggered a series of changes, which led the truck maker MAN to the replace tools. Instead of pneumatic LTV nutrunners the Polish MAN Trucks production plant uses the PowerMACS system with QST spindles. “Once again, we satisfied ourselves that the choice of higher investment at the beginning pays off for the client. It made returns on investment in a very short time and the quality of assembly is suddenly much higher,” as Radoslaw Opoka of Atlas Copco describes the experience with the car maker. (more…)

REPLACING A SINGLE TOOL SAVES 6 HOURS OF WORK PER DAY

 

One workday, that too can be the lifetime of tools in the wood processing industry, for example in chipboard production. The blades on the grinding heads that chop up wooden waste and even entire trees into splinters, must be changed daily. For the operators, this means having to loosen and tighten 12 bolts over and over again. (more…)

Assembling modules at a car plant is very demanding and complicated. When it comes to safety, the models must meet stringent quality requirements. One crucial factor is reliably tightening a large number of joints. WHO HAS THE CHANCE TO CELEBRATE 144 YEARS?

Not many of us, right?

However, it is Atlas Copco that celebrated 144 years in business on February 21st of this year. It means a lot to us, therefore, we celebrated with honor. Now you have a better idea of Atlas Copcoʼs rich history. SAFETY DAY 2017

Balanced day

We held the traditional global Atlas Copco day in the Customer Center Eastern Europe premises. This year, its focus was on the healthy lifestyle. Active sitting, standing and stretching in order to compensate for the passivity of the office job was followed by a healthy food course. On top of that, we used the Balanced Day occasion to remind our colleagues of the Water for All project. (more…)

Market with new employees is changing rapidly and new workforce generation X and Z is coming into our market. These people very much depend on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), are particular about home offices, cool products and a homey atmosphere in the office. THE 12TH PRESIDENT AND CEO OF ATLAS COPCO AB IS KNOWN

Ronnie Leten resigned from the Atlas Copco AB Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on April 26, 2017. On the same date, he left the position of Atlas Copco Group President and CEO. After eight years of Ronnie’s successful managing, the Group is now stronger than ever with an enhanced customer focus and a solid service in each business area. (more…)
